Additional clarification: The MediaTek MT7902 Wi-Fi adapter is working correctly.
Wi-Fi uses the out-of-tree mt7902e DKMS driver and works on both tested kernels: - 7.0.0-28-generic - 7.0.0-30-generic Therefore, the regression described in this report affects Bluetooth initialization only. The failing device is the internal USB Bluetooth controller: 0489:e156 Vendor: Foxconn / Hon Hai Handled by the btusb/btmtk stack as a MediaTek Bluetooth device. The system contains: - MediaTek MT7902 Wi-Fi: working - Foxconn/MediaTek Bluetooth 0489:e156: works on 7.0.0-28-generic but fails on 7.0.0-30-generic This makes the issue specifically reproducible as a Bluetooth regression between kernel versions 7.0.0-28-generic and 7.0.0-30-generic. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2164852 Title: Bluetooth regression in kernel 7.0.0-30-generic: MediaTek/Foxconn 0489:e156 fails to initialize To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-7.0/+bug/2164852/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
