Public bug reported:
My system updated to 5.8.4 today.
podman suddenly wanted to use the system-wide /var/lib/containers and so
on instead of my user-specific ones.
Deleting all podman and container directories, purging and reinstalling
everything did not work.
Downgrading podman to 5.8.3 made it work again.
