Hi Jeff, Please find the attached logs for your reference and record-keeping.
We also consulted our FC card owner regarding the SAN server and FC configuration. After following his recommendations and re-running the test with the latest Ubuntu 26.04 daily build, the previously observed failure logs no longer appeared. Really thanks for your support. ====Detail investigation and result==== 1. Tester's response: Ubuntu 26.04 Daily Build The sosreport log has been uploaded as an attachment. During the Ubuntu installation, no abnormal behavior was observed. The FC card errors were reported initially and then disappeared afterward. Test Environment Two FC ports were connected to SAN volumes: Volume 1: 190 GB Volume 2: 90 GB Both volumes were mounted through SAN. The installation media successfully detected the mounted volumes. Ubuntu was installed on a local disk. NVMe mode was disabled under UEFI. 2. FC card owner Investigation Summary Based on our investigation, we identified the following conditions that help prevent the asynchronous login errors: Ensure the LUNs are assigned to the FC card before powering on the SUT. If the SAN and SUT are connected but the LUNs have not yet been assigned, the SAN may record asynchronous login errors from other host WWPNs. For a dual-port FC card, please configure both WWPNs on the SAN, even if only one fiber cable is connected. An unconfigured WWPN may still attempt a login and generate asynchronous login errors. Disable NVMe mode on the FC card, as discussed previously. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2146770 Title: Async login failed message show after completing Ubuntu26.04 installation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2146770/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
