Since my upgrade from Kubuntu 24.04 to 26.04, the standard printing
dialogue ignores advanced print settings. If I have set standard print
settings in the system configuration to black and white, but wan to
override the setting in the Qt printing dialogue 'colour' it is ignored
and the printer still prints b&w. Same if I want to print 2 pages per
sheet and then change duplex to short side binding.
When printing with the non-Qt printing dialogues (for instance from
LibreOffice), advanced print settings are reflected in the resulting
printout.
Side note: Normally, I try to use the GTK-based printing dialogue to
avoid the clumsy distribution of these options over different sub-
windows in KDE, but in Kubuntu 26.04, it seems to have become more
difficult to enforce the more comfortable GTK dialogue in all
applications.
