Public bug reported:

The sudo.ws demotion to universe in stonking will rename the package:
sudo will become a transitional package, and a new sudo.ws package in
universe will ship the sudo.ws binaries
(https://launchpad.net/~bamf0/+archive/ubuntu/stonking-sudo-universe-
transition).

When a resolute machine upgrades, the transitional sudo package will no
longer provide /usr/bin/sudo.ws and nothing will install the new sudo.ws
package. A machine that had sudo.ws selected as its sudo alternative
will silently end up with the alternative resolving to sudo-rs. The same
will apply where sudo-rs had been removed and sudo.ws was the sole
provider, since sudo-rs is reinstalled during the upgrade.

Such a machine should finish the upgrade with the sudo.ws package
installed and the alternative still pointing at /usr/bin/sudo.ws.

** Affects: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
