Public bug reported: Dear Ubuntu Team,
in our keepalived installations we regularly get errors reported from our monitoring system which uses SNMP. We start keepalived with snmp-integration and have seen following journal entries from keepalived when the connection to snmpd vanishes: AgentX master agent failed to respond to ping. Attempting to re-register. NET-SNMP version 5.9.1 AgentX subagent connected This log entry happens more then once. After a longer period of time it sometimes fixes the problem itself but more often we restart keepalived. We have looked through the web and found quite some issues and related fixes in keepalived but not any of these issues were still open. All of them were fixed and the fix was in older releases than what is used in Ubuntu 22.04. The most closely fitting entry was: https://github.com/acassen/keepalived/issues/2195 We are using Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
