I can confirm this issue on an AMD desktop with a Qualcomm WCN7850 (hw2.0) Wi-Fi adapter.
My results are: * Linux 6.14.0-37-generic: 5 GHz works normally * Linux 6.17.0-29-generic: 5 GHz unavailable * Linux 6.17.0-35-generic: 5 GHz unavailable * Linux 7.0.0-31-generic: 5 GHz unavailable * 2.4 GHz continues to work on the affected kernels The router's 5 GHz network is confirmed working with other devices. I also tested a non-DFS 5 GHz channel (channel 36), but the affected kernels still do not see any 5 GHz networks. The system is running Linux Mint 22.3 with the Ubuntu-provided linux- firmware package. The WCN7850 firmware is the Mint/Ubuntu packaged version. This also provides a clear kernel A/B comparison: 6.14 works, while 6.17 and 7.0 do not. P.S. I used AI to help me test this issue, write this report, and find the appropriate place to report it.
