Public bug reported:
Click on a link, in this case a CSV file in a Thunderbird email. Even
though .csv should be handled, according to the File Associations
settings in KDE/Plasma, the Choose Application dialog is presented.
Choose and application, doesn't matter if you click always open with,
and click OK.
The application launches as expected. However, it has reset everything is knows
about any apps.
- The Choose Aplication window is now empty, for all associations.
- The Default Apps dropdowns are now empty,
- The app lauchers, all of them, are devoid of any apps
- KDE/Plasma no longer knows how to handle its own .desktop files
- KWin screenshot is no longer authorized to take a screenshot
The fix is to reinstall xdg-desktop-portal-kde, but the above is still a
bug.
