Public bug reported:
golang-github-gopasspw-gopass 1.16.1-2, golang-github-gopasspw-gopass-
hibp 1.16.1-3 and golang-github-gopasspw-gitconfig 0.0.4-3 are stuck in
stonking-proposed with every build in Dependency wait, because they form
a build-dependency cycle:
gopass Build-Depends: gitconfig-dev, gopass-hibp-dev
gopass-hibp Build-Depends: gitconfig-dev, gopass-dev
gitconfig Build-Depends: gopass-dev
The dependencies are real Go imports (gitconfig uses gopass/pkg/debug,
appdir, set; gopass-hibp uses gopass ctxutil, debug, fsutil, termio...),
so they cannot simply be dropped.
Debian bootstrapped them with binary (source all) uploads built locally
in June 2026, then source-only uploads. Launchpad builds everything from
source, so there is no binary to start from.
Plan:
1. Upload golang-github-gopasspw-gopass 1.16.1-2ubuntu1 without the
gitconfig/gopass-hibp build-dependencies and with dh_auto_build/dh_auto_test
skipped; the arch:all -dev package only ships Go sources, so its content is
unchanged.
2. Sync golang-github-gopasspw-gitconfig 0.0.4-5 from Debian (also fixes FTBFS
with gobwas/glob v1).
3. Retry golang-github-gopasspw-gopass-hibp 1.16.1-3.
4. Upload gopass 1.16.1-2ubuntu2 restoring the normal build to build and test
against the real packages.
