rt61pci actually *does* work in hardy and it almost does in gutsy in gutsy sources are OLD and must be updated, otherwise the driver bugs after a few minutes, and you have unload/reload it, if it was to be updated it should work as in hardy: in hardy it *almost* works which means I've found I can connect using WPA via command line using
# wpa_connect -B -dwlan0 -dext ... etc etc and then issuing # dhclient wlan0 I've also recently discovered I could make it work with wifi-radar, but I can't using network-manager; wicd didn't work too, and anyway i don't like wicd The driver seems to work perfectly with OPEN networks bye -- Ralink rt2400 / rt2500 / rt2570 / rt61 / rt73 do not work out of the box in Gutsy/Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/134660 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
