Public bug reported:

Hello,

I found a bug in the Ubuntu 24.04 calibre 7.6 package.
Running:
    lrfviewer
fails with:
    TypeError: BookView.__init__() got an unexpected keyword argument 'parent'
Investigation shows an inconsistency between:
/usr/lib/calibre/calibre/gui2/lrf_renderer/main_ui.py
which contains:
    self.graphics_view = BookView(parent=self.viewer_page)
and:
/usr/lib/calibre/calibre/gui2/lrf_renderer/bookview.py
which contains:
    class BookView(QGraphicsView):
        def __init__(self, *args):
            QGraphicsView._*init__(self, *args)
The constructor does not accept the keyword argument 'parent'.
Changing:
    BookView(parent=self.viewer_page)
to:
*    BookView(self.viewer_page)
fixes the crash.
Version information:
    lrfviewer (calibre 7.6)

Kind regards,
Albert
