Public bug reported:

[Impact]
On MT8901 ACPI systems, the EINT hardware event mask controls whether a pin can
forward a wake event to the SPM. The driver currently clears this mask only for
the static SoC wake-event list, which contains the ACPI event line (EINT 20).

Firmware-described wake-capable devices, such as keyboards and
touchpads, can use other EINT lines. The IRQ core arms these sources
through irq_set_wake, but the driver updates only the software wake_mask
without clearing the corresponding hardware event mask. Their wake
events can therefore remain blocked from reaching the SPM.

[Fix]
Synchronize the EINT hardware event mask with IRQ wake enable/disable: clear
the mask when a source is armed and set it when wake is disabled. Keep pins in
the static SoC event-unmask list enabled so the ACPI event line remains
available.

Make event-mask register accesses opt-in for supported SoCs, with MT8901
enabling the capability. Reapply the static list and dynamically armed
wake sources during resume when event-register state may have been lost.

The change is proposed for Ubuntu 26.04 linux-nvidia and linux-nvidia-
bos.
