I hit something similar on a Lenovo ThinkBook 16p G6 ADR (AMD Ryzen 9
8940HX, same MT7925) and traced it to PCIe ASPM on the Wi-Fi card. With
ASPM enabled, pings to the AP spiked to 0.4-2 s and TX retries ran at
15-50%. With ASPM disabled, latency dropped to 2-6 ms and retries to
about 1-2%. I'm on 160 MHz and didn't need to change the channel width.

Since this is also an AMD laptop with the same chip, it may be the same
problem. You can test it without rebooting (the change is lost on
reboot):

  dev=$(lspci -D -d 14c3:7925 | cut -d' ' -f1)
  echo 0 | sudo tee /sys/bus/pci/devices/$dev/link/l1_{2_aspm,1_aspm,aspm}

If that helps, this makes it permanent:

  echo "options mt7925e disable_aspm=1" | sudo tee
/etc/modprobe.d/mt7925e.conf

Could you report back whether it makes a difference for you?
