Public bug reported:

  Expected:
  Overview searches run without errors from the snapd search provider.

  Actual:
  After locking and unlocking the screen, every overview search logs:
  JS ERROR: TypeError: SnapFinderSearchProvider.get_id is not a function
  get
id@file:///usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/[email protected]/snapFinderSearchProvider.js:64:74
  _doSearch/<@resource:///org/gnome/shell/ui/search.js:750:45
  _doSearch@resource:///org/gnome/shell/ui/search.js:749:25
  _onSearchTimeout@resource:///org/gnome/shell/ui/search.js:762:14

  The exception aborts SearchResultsView._doSearch(). With stock GNOME Shell,
  results still appear because the snap provider is last in _providers, but
  the error repeats on every keystroke. With extensions that override
  _doSearch and iterate all providers before searching (e.g.
  [email protected]), the overview returns no results
  at all.

  [ Cause ]

      get id() {
          return this.appInfo?.get_id() ?? SnapFinderSearchProvider?.get_id() ??
              'snapd-search-provider';
      }

  When this.appInfo is unset, SnapFinderSearchProvider.get_id() is called.
  That static method doesn't exist, so the getter throws instead of reaching
  the 'snapd-search-provider' fallback.

  this.appInfo is unset here because snap-store_snap-store.desktop (the
  x-scheme-handler/snap default) contains NotShowIn=ubuntu, so should_show()
  is false in the ubuntu session.

  The extension has no session-modes, so it is disabled on lock and
  re-registered on unlock. The problem then persists until
  _reloadRemoteProviders() runs, which drops the provider because it reports
  isRemoteProvider = true.

  [ Steps to reproduce ]

  1. Lock the screen (Super+L) and unlock
  2. Open the overview and type a search term
  3. TypeError above appears in the journal

  [ Workaround ]

  gnome-extensions disable [email protected]
