Added an nvidia-graphics-drivers-580 task: the framebuffer-nvidia hook is
identical in both branches.

Checked 2026-10-09 by extracting debian/framebuffer-nvidia from the Launchpad
source packages — byte-identical in all of:

  nvidia-graphics-drivers-595 595.99.02-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 (noble)
  nvidia-graphics-drivers-595 595.99.02-0ubuntu0.26.04.1 (resolute)
  nvidia-graphics-drivers-580 580.178.04-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 (noble, installed on
a second affected machine)
  nvidia-graphics-drivers-580 580.178.04-0ubuntu0.26.04.1 (resolute)
  nvidia-graphics-drivers-580 580.178.04-0ubuntu1 (current development
series)

All still contain:

  for kmod in $(find "${MODULESDIR}/${dir}" ${exclude:-} -name "$pattern*.ko"
-print); do
      manual_add_modules $(basename ${kmod} .ko)

so any DKMS-built nvidia module installed as .ko.zst is left out of the
initramfs on every current series, including 26.04 LTS.

** Also affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers-580 (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New
