Public bug reported:
Distribution upgrade gets to the end of the second step (Setting new
software channels) then fails with the error:
Could not calculate the upgrade
An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.
If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the command
'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal. If you want to
investigate this yourself the log files in '/var/log/dist-upgrade' will
contain details about the upgrade. Specifically, look at 'main.log' and
'apt.log'.
main.log contains:
near the top, in red: 2026-10-10 19:15:25,363 ERROR failed to import AptClone
at teh end, in green: 2026-10-10 19:16:21,257 INFO Quirk: Marking
'libfile-libmagic-perl' for install to prevent dependency deadlock.
apt.log contains:
Starting pkgProblemResolver with broken count: 11
also lots of errors about broken python3 and mutter-common:amd6
