Also affects a fresh 26.04 LTS server (postfix-mta-sts-resolver 1.5.0-1build1, python3 3.14.4): the service crash-loops at start with the traceback above, with or without uvloop (--disable-uvloop hits the same RuntimeError from asyncio itself).
The upstream fix (PR #114) is released in 1.5.1, and 1.5.1-1 is already in stonking. Could this be nominated for resolute and fixed through an SRU? It's a regression from 24.04, where the package works, and the package is unusable on 26.04 LTS as shipped. Workaround without touching packaged files, a systemd drop-in that creates the loop before calling main(): /etc/systemd/system/postfix-mta-sts-resolver.service.d/python314.conf: [Service] ExecStart= ExecStart=/usr/bin/python3 -c 'import asyncio, sys; asyncio.set_event_loop(asyncio.new_event_loop()); sys.argv = ["mta-sts-daemon", "--config", "/etc/mta-sts-daemon.yml", "--disable-uvloop"]; from postfix_mta_sts_resolver.daemon import main; sys.exit(main())' -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2152184 Title: postfix-mta-sts-resolver doesn't start on resolute To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postfix-mta-sts-resolver/+bug/2152184/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
