Thanks for the quick reply. Results with nvidia blocked via module_blacklist=nvidia,nvidia_drm,nvidia_modeset,nvidia_uvm (/proc/sys/kernel/tainted was 0 before suspending; display on the AMD iGPU):
1. WoWLAN off, power-button wake: resumes normally. 2. WoWLAN on (iw phy0 wowlan enable magic-packet), power-button wake: fails. The display comes back this time, but the system freezes almost immediately (keyboard/mouse dead, clock stopped) and needs a hard reset. The kernel log reached disk; the journal stops about 45 ms after "PM: suspend exit". So nvidia isn't needed to trigger it, and it's the NIC being armed, not the wake-up event from it. Full kernel log of that suspend/resume cycle is attached (MAC addresses masked). I haven't repeated the magic-packet wake with nvidia blocked. Happy to try the mainline 7.0 kernel next. ** Attachment added: "resume-wowlan-powerbutton.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2170503/+attachment/6008464/+files/resume-wowlan-powerbutton.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2170503 Title: ath12k WCN7850: system hangs on resume from suspend when WoWLAN magic- packet is enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2170503/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
