Hello Tho Bonto, I have determined what is most likely the commit responsible for this issue. The following commit changes the SuperSpeed root hub hash and then fails some hash id rules, causing the device to never reach enumeration. My fix is to revert this commit.
79b9686dee4f usb: core: Fix SuperSpeed root hub wMaxPacketSize (upstream commit: d1e280334b7f0a1df441e08bd1f6a1bcc36b3bbb) I have not been able to replicate this error myself, meaning I can see my USB 3 device when running 'lsusb' on both good/bad kernel versions (6.8.0-142-generic, 6.8.0-146-generic). I am working to ensure that this isn't because of some setup difference on my end. In the meantime please try the fix I have uploaded to ppa: lp2169169 [1] and verify it with the same test methods you used when reporting the bug. Let me know the results of your test and if you have any other questions or issues. -- Bethany [1] https://launchpad.net/~bjamison/+archive/ubuntu/lp2169169 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2169169 Title: After upgrading USB 3.0 no longer working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2169169/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
