After some reading I believe the issue (also existing latest upstream)
is that before

b1aea2c19607 "apparmor: fix race in unix socket mediation when peer_path
is used"

update_peer_ctx() was called from within aa_unix_file_perm() when
is_sk_fs was false (regardless whether is_unix_fs(peer_sk) was true or
not. After the change it is only done in the case of is_unix_fs(peer_sk)
being false.

And that seems to trigger the bug on the update_sk_ctx() call leaving
the function.
