It is a particularly poor failure mode hitting anyone that owns the
flagship hardware from Raspberry Pi and attempts to run Ubuntu on it. It
is easy to get the impression that Ubuntu is a pretty well supported
hardware combination, yet this has been a crippling issue at least since
late 2025.

A back-port of this upstream patch sounds like something that should be
high on the list of priorities if Ubuntu should continue to support
Raspberry Pi
