Public bug reported:

torchcodec/0.14.0-1.1 fails the test
"TestAudioEncoder.test_against_cli[to_file-flac-8000-None-None-asset0]"

https://autopkgtest.ubuntu.com/results/autopkgtest-
tenacious/tenacious/amd64/t/torchcodec/20261024_050041_b5a96@/log.gz

0.14.0 from Debian is significantly behind upstream which is at 0.17 and
introduced ffmpeg 9 support in 0.16. Debian have patched 0.14.0 to fix
builds with ffmpeg9, but have not yet addressed the accompanying
autopkgtest failures that also occur in debci.

reverse-depends does not seem to be functional for tenacious yet but I
note that:

$ reverse-depends -r stonking src:torchcodec
No reverse dependencies found

$ reverse-depends -r stonking -b src:torchcodec
No reverse dependencies found

And that torchcodec is a only a recent addition to debian/ubuntu from
July 2026

So torchcodec/0.14.0-1 can probably be safely removed from the tenacious
release pocket to unblock ffmpeg 9.

torchcodec is currently the only remaining test failure against ffmpeg 9
