Public bug reported: When a file is dragged from the desktop into a sandboxed (Flatpak) app, the app receives a path it isn't allowed to read. Dragging the same file from Nautilus works.
Nautilus offers a GdkFileList, which makes GTK add the application/vnd.portal.filetransfer format. The receiving app then gets the file through the document portal and can read it without needing any filesystem permissions. This has been fixed in MR !530 (https://gitlab.com/rastersoft/desktop- icons-ng/-/merge_requests/530), could this be merged into the two Ubuntu packages as a hotfix, so all users who update their system using apt don't face this issue with sandboxed apps?
