Update: additional evidence on 7.0.0-42. On 7.0.0-42 the HID report of this clickpad is split across two input nodes (libinput pointer + synaptics pointer). Measured with different X button maps:
- map "3 3 1" on both nodes: left zone -> right click, right zone -> left click - identity map on the libinput node, "3 3 1" on the synaptics node: left zone -> no event at all, right zone -> left click So no single device receives the complete button set: the left zone is only reachable through one node and the right zone only through the other. No X button-map can fix both at once, which rules out a mapping/configuration error and points at how hid-multitouch/i2c-hid splits this device's button collections on 7.0.0-42. Workaround in use: stay on 7.0.0-38 (42 removed and apt-pinned), with a button map that corrects the pre-existing swap of the two click zones. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2172392 Title: Regresión en 7.0.0-42: el clickpad i2c-hid SYNA3602 (VAIO VJFE52A1811H) deja de entregar el clic físico izquierdo y enumera 4 nodos input «UNKNOWN» To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2172392/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
