Gentoo recently informed users that X11 support is going away with
Plasma 6.8 release and users will have to switch to Wayland.

How do we make this bug a blocker for Plasma 6.8 release? This is a
major loss of functionality. When I switch to a Wayland session, it
affects 9 virtual desktops with over 20 (carefully placed) windows. They
are all dumped on top of each other on the first desktop. Wrong
positions, wrong desktop and even the size is slightly off.

I propose that if this bug is too hard to fix for 6.8, then X11 needs to
stay supported longer.
