Public bug reported:

The built-in camera on the Dell XPS 14 DA14260 (Intel Panther Lake, BIOS
1.10.1) does not work on Ubuntu 26.04.1.

What happens:
- The IPU7 driver finds the sensor in ACPI ("Found supported sensor
OVTI08F4:00", "Connected 1 cameras").
- But no I2C client is created for the sensor (no i2c-OVTI08F4:00), the ov08x40
driver never binds (use count 0), and no /dev/v4l-subdev* exists.
- libcamera (0.7.0) reports: "No sensor found for /dev/media0". Applications
only see empty "ipu7" capture devices.

Relevant kernel messages:
int3472-discrete INT3472:00: GPIO type 0x02 unknown; the sensor may not work
gpio_usbio usbio.usbio-gpio.0: [Firmware Bug]: GPIO 11 is not in FW pins
bitmap
i2c_usbio usbio.usbio-i2c.1: Invalid speed 400000 adjusting to bus max
100000

Hardware details:
- Sensor: OmniVision OV08X40 (ACPI OVTI08F4, \_SB_.LNK1)
- Image unit: Intel IPU7 (firmware intel/ipu/ipu7ptl_fw.bin)
- Camera control via Synaptics SVP7500 USBIO bridge (USB 06cb:0701)
- No intel_cvs module is present in any installed kernel.

Tried, same result each time:
- Kernels 7.0.0-38-generic, 7.0.0-42-generic and 7.0.0-1017-oem
- libcamera-tools, pipewire-libcamera, gstreamer1.0-libcamera installed
- BIOS 1.10.1 is the latest version offered via fwupd (with AC power connected)

Possibly related:
- LP #2138991 (Dell 16 Premium DA16250, OV02C10 camera not working)
- Upstream patch adding INT3472 GPIO type 0x02 support:
https://lwn.net/Articles/1065085/
- Upstream patch handling GPIO types 0x02/0x12:
https://lkml.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/2604.0/06763.html

Expected: the internal camera is detected and usable, e.g. listed by
"cam -l".
