I can confirm that this issue also affects Ubuntu 26.04 LTS (Resolute). My system: - Intel NUC8i7HVK - Ubuntu 26.04 LTS - GNOME 50 - Wayland
The issue occurs with automatic suspend. The system refuses to suspend after inactivity because Update Manager holds a blocking sleep inhibitor. The system journal reports: `GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.login1.BlockedByInhibitorLock: Operation denied due to active block inhibitor` Running `systemd-inhibit --list` identified: `UpdateManager ... update-manager ... sleep ... block ... Updating System` I also verified that terminating the Update Manager process removes this inhibitor from the list. This confirms that the issue is not limited to screen blanking: it also prevents automatic system suspend. Since the fix is already available in Ubuntu 26.10, could it please be backported to Ubuntu 26.04 LTS? I would prefer to remain on the LTS release rather than upgrade to an interim release just to resolve this power management issue.
