I use remmina to access my so call ~server~ from my ub laptop with RDP,
and used to use AVNC from f-droid, both over ssh. Now I upgraded my
server to 24.04 I can't find a simple FOSS android App that only
features RDP over SSH without cloud stuff and other bloatware. So that's
a shame I have to open another port in my firewall for a weak protocol,
even I understand the ubuntu rdp server requiring NLA (by default I
hope, with no automatic weaker fallback) makes some think it can pretend
to measure itself to ssh. I'm fed with seeing these rat races behind MS.
It's a pity for us simple users who require years to tame our security
environment to have to dig through a forest of new dependencies and
blindly grant them confidence and accept new permissions for a new third
party client on each new LTS.
