As with 19.2.6, this 20.2.4 removes the “auth_supported” option, which breaks (at least) libvirt: LP #2172324
Having discussed this with Matthew, we think the ideal outcome here should be that we re-add the “auth_supported” configuration to the ceph package in the SRU upload. That avoids breaking libvirt and whatever other systems users have that might currently depend on the existence of that option. The patch removing the option (https://github.com/ceph/ceph/commit/a6eb3c747127d34542e867646697fd9152219424 ) looks tractable enough to revert (although we haven't checked for follow-up changes that may have made it difficult to re-introduce). Unless it turns out to be impractical to revert the option removal, I think the correct approach here is to re-spin the 20.2.4 SRU (or skip it entirely and upload 20.2.5) with this breaking change undone. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2166817 Title: [FFE] Update Ceph to 20.2.4 (tentacle) version To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ceph/+bug/2166817/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
