On Ubuntu Kylin 26.04, kglobalaccel5 can repeatedly abort in the LightDM greeter because activated services do not receive the greeter's display environment. ukui-screensaver unnecessarily contacts org.kde.kglobalaccel in greeter mode. ukui-session-manager also starts simpleDesk components before synchronizing DISPLAY and XAUTHORITY with D-Bus and the systemd user instance. Both fixes are needed: skip the screensaver's unnecessary access and provide the correct environment for services activated by other components. [ Test Plan ] 1. On resolute with the original packages, record both package versions with `dpkg-query -W ukui-screensaver ukui-session-manager`. Reboot and leave the UKUI greeter visible for at least 60 seconds. 2. Save `sudo journalctl -b --no-pager -g 'kglobalaccel|KGlobalAccel'` and, where available, `coredumpctl list kglobalaccel5`. Confirm the greeter's activation requests, display-connection errors and repeated ABRTs. 3. Install both updated packages from resolute-proposed and record their versions and apt policy. Reboot and repeat the greeter observation. 4. Verify that screensaver-backend no longer requests KGlobalAccel activation. If settings-daemon activates it, the service must start and remain running for at least 60 seconds without the previous display error or crash loop. 5. Check greeter login and supported volume/brightness keys. In a normal user session, check global shortcuts, lock the screen and authenticate normally. Confirm shortcut blocking while locked and restoration after unlock. 6. Return to the greeter and switch between test users. Check login, backgrounds and lock/unlock behavior. Repeat on supported Wayland setups where applicable. [ Where problems could occur ] Incorrect greeter detection could bypass shortcut blocking in a normal session or leave a null interface accessible. Importing an incorrect display or XAUTHORITY could break activated GUI services. Check new greeters and normal sessions, including display changes and supported X11/Wayland configurations. [ Other Info ] This issue affects ukui-screensaver and ukui-session-manager. Both updates should be verified together. The fixes are already included in stonking and tenacious: screensaver 4.20.0.5 and session-manager 4.20.0.2.
