Where did you see that Thames was a Southern Islands/GCN chip?

Because everything I see says is Thames a mobile variant of Turks, and is
Northern Islands/Terascale2 chip, which is not supported by amdgpu.
Example: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/amd-thames.g197
