Sorry for the late response, but it seems you marked this bug "Incomplete" on your own, which means it never appeared as "New", and didn't get the attention it should have. "Incomplete" typically means that somebody has asked a question and is waiting for an answer before proceeding.
This bug was filed quite some time ago. Is it still an issue? If it is, please provide more information, such as how long it's actually taking, and how long you expect it to take. If you can run the program from the command line, any out put given in the terminal window could be helpful. We also need to know the version of Ubuntu and glchess you are having the issue with. The more info the better.
