Public bug reported:

kubuntu 7.10; strigi-daemon 0.5.7-1~gutsy1; strigi-applet
0.5.6-0ubuntu1.

This is just a little suggestion that I think could improve the users'
experience of strigi. Indeed, using the strigi-daemon with the konqueror
kioslave and through the strigi-applet could lead to different results.

As an example, if I type antonio in the strigi desktop and then in
strigi-applet, I noted that the latter search "name:antonio", while the
former simply "antonio". This leads to different results.

In conclusion, I think that could be a good idea to add a little table
in the konqueror window of the daemon with a summary of the available
option available to do a query.

At the moment the window is just empty with a little box to type what to
look for. Would it be possible to add a table with a summary of the
Xesam End User Search Language used by strigi
(http://xesam.org/main/XesamUserSearchLanguage)? That will increase the
experience of the users that don't know or don't have time to learn the
query options. They could see a little recap every time they use strigi.

I know that strigi will be integrated in kde4, but for people that will
wait kubuntu 8.10 this I think will be a good compromise to become
familiar with the new search technology.

If you need further information, just let me know.

Thanks,

Antonio
