Public bug reported:

I have a Optiarc DVD RW AD-5200A and I can't read audio cds. Ubuntu recognizes
it as a blank cd and propose me to burn it. I try to launch it on vlc or totem
but it doesn't work. Moreover, I tried to upgrade the firmware downloaded from
the manufacturer web site but it doesn't change anything.
NB: I test it with a lot of cds audio. Other kinds of cd work properly. Some
users have the same problem http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=186510
Here's the result of dmesg command:

[ 1675.780000] ide: failed opcode was: unknown
