I've just got into this problem after changing mobo&processor (Core 2 Duo 4500, Abit IB9). The drive is an ATAPI-one (no SATA, HDD is on the second controller). I've also changed my kernel from -386 to -generic one. The system is Ubuntu Gutsy (7.10).
Is there any info we could provide to help fixing this? Any debug work to do?
