I have Hardy installed on my Laptop (Gericom, SIS650 chipset). It runs quite
well.
The fan is pretty loud for ten minutes after booting and then finally slows
down. I have had Suse 10.3 installed before and the fan slowed done immediately
after POST. It slows down eventually with Hardy too but it takes ten minutes.
I'd be happy to add any information necessary for a solution.
