I just found this bug report. I upgraded my Amilo M7400 from Feisty to Gutsy and tried to clear out all quirks which I had used before. I guess that the fsam7400 and acerhk modules have been superseded by module wistron_btns. At least on my machine the wireless led and button work reliably after modprobing wistron_btns.
