Here my setup on my Dell Inspiron 5160 box.
Language --> French (Canada)
Keyboard layout --> Canada
So, opening a terminal and typing É é À à È è Ç ç or any other accented
character
produce interrogation mark ?
Message generated by package installation with french accented character replace
all them by a double ?? as follow:
