Same problem here, since Gutsy, and still with yesterday's Hardy. I should probably note that xrandr'ing to lots of different resolution works fine. Here's the list: WORKS: 1920x1200, 1600x1200, 1600x1024, 1400x1050, 1280x1024, 1280x960, 1280x800, 1152x864, 1280x768, 1152x768, 1024x768, 832x624, 800x600, 640x480, 720x400, 640x400, 640x350
