Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
When the music is paused, and I quit the program, a short burst of audio is played. It might be all the audio that is played is contained in a buffer, but I have not viewed the source code and don't know for sure what's happening under the hood to produce this error. The bug is very annoying! If this isn't a reproducible bug for anyone else, I'm using a Intel 82801g audio chipset, if that helps.
