Public bug reported:

After today's updates my system has become unusable.

When I start my session, bug buddy appears telling me that an
application crashed (it would be nice if it told me which one, BTW) and
that I should send a bug report telling what I was doing during the
crash.

To my knowledge, no application visibly crashed, but I fill in the
report and send it.

After sending the report, I get the following message:

"Bug Buddy has encountered an error while submitting your report to the
Bugzilla server. Details of the error are included below.

The component specified doesn't exist or has been renamed. Please
upgrade to the latest version."

After pressing the close button, bug-buddy comes back with a vengeance
with exactly the same message. No matter what I click or do (Cancel,
send, xkill it...), it always comes back.

I wouldn't mind it coming back, but it seems that it does not let the
desktop to finish loading. The background image does not get loaded and
my previously transparent panel is opaque.

On a side issue, but maybe related to this, I also get a crash
notification in the form of a little bomb icon at the notification area.
When I click it to see what's crashed, it says that metacity crashed
unexpectedly.
