Extremely critical bug for installing me

I have Acer Extensa 4420-5237
amd 64 dual-core TK-55 processor
ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 graphics card

Using either the 7.10 amd64 cd the way I experience the bug is it hangs on the
loading after it cannot find the wireless driver bcm43xx_microcode5.fw

I used the alt cd to install
then on boot it hangs in the same spot

I booted into recovery mode then followed then established a network
connection following these instructions
http://tldp.org/HOWTO/NET3-4-HOWTO-5.html#ss5.3

nano /etc/hosts
replaced the second entry with
192.168.0.10 computer-name.nc.rr.com computer-name

root# ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.10 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
root# route add -net 192.168.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 eth0
root# route add default gw 192.168.0.1 eth0
root# ping www.google.com

then followed the above directions then rebooted and it worked fine.
