For the "automatic" installation of the good package, there's still some work to do. We're actually trying to get the packages working correctly and uploaded to ubuntu, this is the first step.
Latest debian packages can be found here : http://upload.leservicetechnique.com/brother You just have to take a look at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BrotherDriverPackaging to find which of the package is the good one for you. Notice that your printer probably won't get installed automatically yet. You have to choose the good PPD from the /usr/share/ppd/Brother folder in order to install and test your printer.
