I talked to the contributor that has committed the next release, 1.0.16r2 , to the upstream.
He said that he is aware of the issue and that the new release package should fix this problem. The new package has been built and is currently being pushed to the repository mirrors. This is not a problem with the kernel... this is a problem with the alsa libraries. Building the alsa-modules from source with module-assistant does not fix this since the problem is with the actual alsa code. You can download the source for the next release here: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12033371/alsa-source_1.0.16-0ubuntu2_all.deb -- [hardy] lost sound when upgraded from 2.6.24-3-generic to 2.6.24-4-generic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183364 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
