Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz-core
With the current Hardy versions of the compiz packages, compiz segfaults immediately on startup. I originally reported this bug manually, but I have been requested to submit the apport info, so it is creating this new bug. I am marking the original as a duplicate. Note that it contains additional info, including a gdb backtrace, which is how I know that the crash is in XGetXCBConnection.
