Another update. Japanese language Installation on Hardy, Alpha 5 -
Released Feb 22nd, 2008

There are two problems still remaining:

1. When Selecting "Enable support to enter complex charactes", user has
to click "Apply" and then "OK". If user just selects "OK", the window
quits without remembering selection.

2. After successfully installing Japanese language, the user is
presented with a prompt saying "The selected language en_US does not
exist, using system default" - This can be remedied by manually
selecting default session language once.

I have not yet encountered the deadkeys problem yet, but I have only
tested for a day. Can someone else confirm?

[Gutsy Feisty Edgy Dapper] language-support-"any CJK language" doesn't set up a
way to input this language with scim if the session doesn't correspond to this
particular CJK (Chinese, Japanese or Korean) language
