Also found out that the block backend in the kernel config (in -8) in Ubuntu is 
a module, while in debian it is build-in.
So I'll also be making an initrd that has blkback in it. This is, of course, 
very likely the show stopper.

Might make sense to set this to build-in simply because otherwise this
package is useless?
