Hi Rob, I examined your dmesg output and it appears the atl1 driver is loading:
[ 40.045089] atl1 0000:02:00.0: version 2.0.7 So this definitely seems odd. Care to maybe attach the dmesg output from one of the successful desktop installations? I'm curious to compare the two.
