after selecting the main US server, linux-restricted- modules-2.6.24-10-generic was available and installed allright.
Even though this solved the problem for me, I seems that this relates to a problem in the handling of the ubuntu mirrors: Why was the kernel uploaded (including packages.gz) on this mirror, and made available, *before* the restricted modules? Is that a mess up or a procedural problem? Anyway, I'm closing this bug. -- linux-resticted-modules-2.6.24-10-generic not installable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/196346 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
