All I can remember, is that I started installing Ubuntu on a laptop where Windows XP was installed, the migraiton assistant came up, and I selected my Windows user, and chose a corresponding name for a Ubuntu user. After that, the user-creation screen came up, and I couldn't get past that without creating another user.
